A Normal Day is an all-day dining cafe located in Dar Wasl.
Dar Wasl is always our go-to when it comes to discovering homegrown dining concepts, and A Normal Day is a relatively newer spot that we recently tried. Designed to feel like home, the space is cozy and inviting with an artsy touch. Thoughtfully put together with matched tableware, personal objects, and collected art, it carries the spirit of a housewarming: relaxed, welcoming, and full of quiet detail.
The all-day breakfast menu has some really tempting dishes  such as: Avo & Mango Toast: Torched avocado, avocado mousse, mango gel, TajĂn spice, and sourdough, Steak & Egg: Beef tenderloin MB5 with sunny-side up egg, truffle fries, and herb aioli, and house favourite Shakshuka: Poached eggs with Nduja sausage, braised cherry tomatoes, olives, fresh herbs, feta, and bread.
After much deliberation we picked the Truffle Scramble and Breakfast Bun. Cooked to perfection, the perfectly silky scrambled eggs were topped with a (very) generous serving of truffle and served with homemade sourdough-we adored this dish.
The Breakfast Bun is a playful yet hearty dish-brioche bread stacked high with cheese, hash brown, sausage and egg-this protein packed dish will keep you full for the rest of the day.
We decided to really treat ourselves and ended the meal with their highly recommended Crepe dish served with honey and fresh berries. Light and delicate this sweet treat went perfectly with the expertly-made cups of flat white coffee.
