Doughbai invites guests to slow down and reconnect over food shaped by memory and a deep sense of place.
Drawing from Lebanese history, time-honoured recipes and the flavours of Zahle, doughbai’s Ramadan offering is inspired by the cooking and childhood memories of founder Wadad Zarzour, developed alongside her son Ghadi, is guided by the belief that food carries meaning.

From family kitchens to regional traditions, each dish from this daily-changing menu reflects recipes and rituals passed down through generations. All the food is prepared fresh using seasonal organic produce, sourced directly from local farmers for that farm-to-table approach.

The wholesome Iftar experience begins with traditional dates, apricots and a delicious lentil soup, followed by Woodz’s signature fattoush and a rotating selection of baked and fried sambousek, kibbeh, hummus and mezze. A daily main dish and homemade dessert complete the evening. We tried the fragrant and comforting Fish Siyadiyi-a typical Lebanese dish that celebrates the flavours of the sea. For dessert, the Levantine specialty Sfouf had just the right amount of sweetness, finished with a sprinkling of nuts. Ramadan drinks include a choice of jallab, tamr hendi or amar el deen, served alongside Arabic coffee and infused water.
