SWITCH YOUR LIGHTS OFF FOR EARTH HOUR IN DUBAI

Earth Hour in Dubai

Switch off your lights on 24th March 20178 from 8:30pm-9:30 pm as a way of showing your commitment to saving our planet.

#EarthHourDubai is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. In 2008, Dubai became the first Arab City to celebrate Earth Hour and continues to do so since then.

Earth Hour is the biggest environmental event of the year, and with each passing Earth Hour residents and businesses in the city are showing their commitment to our dear planet.

Earth Hour is one of the largest grass-root level movements uniting people to protect the planet, where millions of individuals around the world come together for one cause. Individuals participate and contribute by switching off lights and unnecessary appliances for one hour (8.30-9.30pm) to express the need to rationalize electricity consumption, conserve natural resources, and protect the environment.

Use the hashtag #EarthHourUAE to show your action that can change our tomorrow.  By switching off your lights, you will become an eco-ambassador and will be helping in saving our planet Earth.

You can also head over to a festival with your family and friends and take the first step towards fighting climate change! Take part in the walkathon and activities in a family-fun-filled festival, your every step will be matched by thousands of others who have all come together to show support for #EarthHourUAE:
