Caravan at the Ritz Carlton on JBR hosts a Friday brunch in Dubai from 1pm-4pm.
The Caravan at the Ritz Carlton extended a brunch invitation to us, we first enquired if there was outdoor seating. Â The weather is ideal to be dining outdoors and Caravan not only has terrace seating but also tables set up on the lush green lawn outside the restaurant.
Our terrace seating was ideal, overlooking the lawn and the beach, it also gave us easy access to the food inside. Â Almost every table inside and outside was occupied and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Â We especially enjoyed the live jazz music and we found ourselves singing along throughout the afternoon.
The Rotisserie Brunch is a gastronomic adventure where food from India, Arabia and the Mediterranean are celebrated in a single setting.  We recommend starting at the salad counter where there is a large selection including an entire section dedicated to cold mezzeh and cold fish.
In the mains if you love Indian food, then we recommend then fish curry and lamb biryani. Â Do however, leave space for the roasted beef and rotisserie lamb leg that will be served to you with a variety of different sauces, a medley of vegetables and of course some yorkshire pudding.
If you eat pork then there is a separate station with sausages, cold cuts and a grand roast for you to enjoy.
Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted with the variety of  cakes and pastries laid out.  But it is the live crepe station that caught our attention and we enjoyed a few rounds of freshly made crepes with different toppings including nutella and sprinkles.
Although this is more of an adult’s only brunch there is a kids play area and after brunch options to keep the little ones busy, if you decide to bring them along.
Overall, The Rotisserie Brunch is expensive (starting at 450 AED) but it is worth indulging in if you are celebrating a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself.
