We are so excited to hear that the ladies of Souk El Tayeb’s Kitchen, a.k.a. Tawlet, are flying-in from Lebanon and taking their quarters in the newly opened INKED in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai, for a week of delicious dinner, brunches and cooking workshops from the 10th to the 15th of October 2016.
They bring with them the passion and tradition of comforting home-made food from across Lebanon’ s valleys and villages as part of “Tawlet on Tour”, celebrating Lebanese culinary traditions across France, Geneva and Copenhagen among others, while sharing the message “Make Food Not War”.
Tawlet, literally meaning “Tables” in Arabic, is an all-day farmer’s kitchen based in Lebanon that has gained international acclaim for serving traditional Lebanese home cooking in a non-traditional format. Everyday a different farmer, producer, mother or cook from a region of Lebanon tells the best of their history and land through the food they prepare.
Dinners:
Dinners feature an abundant buffet with a variety of appetizers and mains dependent on the region of Lebanon that Tawlet is promoting, all freshly prepared in INKED’ s open kitchens, with an appetizing variety of desserts or ‘ helo arabe’ such as ‘ meghleh’ , mouhalabieh’ and other desserts.

Brunches:
Weekend brunches are a generous offering of familiar Lebanese favorites such as ‘ foul’ and ‘ balila’ , ‘ frikeh b khodra’ , ‘kebbe nayeh’ , ‘ sharab el tout’ , a ‘ saj’ live station and a big selection of other dishes, raw meats, salads and vegetarian plates.
Friday 14 & Saturday 15 October 11am to 4pm AED 275 per person for adults / AED 120 for children under 12
Workshops:
Workshops are conducted by a different lady of Souk El Tayeb’ s kitchen everyday, showcasing the specialty of a particular region each time. The meal prepared can be enjoyed on site after the workshop or taken home.
