We discovered Harvest Home whilst browsing in Jumeirah Centre and were instantly drawn in by the store’s whimsical Christmas window display. A welcome change to the ornate decorations we’ve seen elsewhere in Dubai, the display is classic, simple, and nostalgic. Every type of decoration is available – from traditional gingerbread decorations, to beautiful wreaths, to Nordic music boxes, to mini musical trees.
However, there’s far more to the store than decorations… It can seem a little overwhelming when you first stroll in, as the tables, shelves, and racks are overflowing with homeware, gadgets, and gift items. From fancy teacups to basic bottle openers, this store has it all – the challenge, of course, is finding it.
Harvest Home is a family-run business and the friendly ladies who own it are eager to help customers. It’s not always cheap (we spotted coffee mugs at 89 AED each), but if you can justify splurging during the holiday season, we recommend a visit. The store reminds us of a typical neighbourhood high street store, with a cosy, yet professional vibe.
