Bangkok is a vibrant city and the ideal place to visit when living in the UAE. Choosing the right place to stay is key and we didn’t for a second regret our decision about the hotel we picked.
Located in the heart of the city, The Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel offers a luxurious retreat. Upon our arrival it was the generous hospitality of the staff and the elegant décor that both immediately caught our attention.
The traditional Thai architecture, hand painted silk ceilings, a grand lobby and glorious gardens create a feeling of serene exclusivity in the midst of a bustling city.
The hotel has 354 rooms and suites, 11 dining options, an outdoor pool, spa and a 24-hour gym. They can organise tailored excursions or then book you at a nearby golf course if that is more to your interest. The added bonus is the complimentary Handy smartphone in every room that can be used in and out of the hotel for unlimited calls, texts and internet.
The Anantara Spa is a must visit. It will lure you in with exotic aromas that immediately soothe the senses. Each lavish spa suite features a private Roman style tub and steam room for luxurious relaxation. Our 90-minute Signature Massage was inspired by ancient Siam’s diverse cultural heritage, and incorporated healing traditions from Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and China that began with a bamboo stick massage to stimulate the circulation. The stretching and pressure point techniques enhanced flexibility and energy flow. A herbal compress in a fabric of healing indigo was followed by a herbal oil massage and foot reflexology. To conclude, in a mindfulness ritual gold leaf patches were placed on the wish area of the left arm and left side of the chest to encourage the quieting of the mind.
With a choice of award-winning restaurants, the hotel is famed for its best Sunday Brunch in all of Bangkok. In terms of dining there is something for every taste. We personally adored the Thai food and the elaborate breakfast buffet.
