Now that the beautiful outdoor weather is finally here, we were quick to accept an invitation to La Plage by French Riviera at the the stunning beachfront at Jumeirah Al Qasr. Located on an exquisite beach deck exuding Côte D’Azure glamour, it is set against the backdrop of the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and Ain Dubai in the distance. During the day wooden branches provide guests with shade as rustic ropes drape the space for an effortlessly chic ambiance. Vibrant fabrics perfectly compliment the natural and neutral colour palette alongside an abundance of greenery.
La Plage showcases Mediterranean charm with its elegant food and lively day to night ambiance. Serving up a mix of classic and modern French Mediterranean food, bursting with freshness and designed for sharing, the menu transported us to the picturesque Mediterranean coast for an experience reminiscent of summer days on the French Riviera.
We began with a mix of delicious appetizers including Poulpe De Mediterranée, thinly sliced Octopus served with a Black Olive Tapenade and Mashed Potato, Pizzetta Truffe with Crème Fraiche and Oignon Façon Tatin, the signature caramelized onion with Parmesan Cheese Ice Cream. Each of the dishes was beautifully presented and rich in flavor-the pizzeria truffe, was a favorite on our table.
For mains, guests can choose from a mouth-watering selection of dishes. Our order of the Rigatoni Truffe, Black Truffle Rigatoni with Parmesan Cream was fantastic. The Le Filet de Boeuf with creamy Mashed Potatoes and a Bourguignon Sauce was also a huge hit and ideal for sharing.
It is best to leave space for dessert because the Greek Yogurt Ice Cream topped with pecans, honey and berries is delightful!
Boasting mesmerizing views of the Azure waters of the Arabian Gulf, La Plage is perfect for soaking up the sun in the day or enjoying the sunset and cooler evening. There is a resident DJ playing uplifting and ambient beats on the weekend.
