Crab Tavern seafood restaurant in Dubai serves American-style dishes in an urban-rustic setting.
We were invited to Crab Tavern, a discreetly located seafood restaurant in Media City. Â A casual eatery that has a sister branch in London, we didn’t know much about the place-except of course that they must be serving crabs.
Once we walked in we were happy to find an urban-rustic style setting with exposed brick walls, lighting accents and warm wooden features.  Be sure to ask for a table by the windows as the view of Dubai Marina at night is very impressive.  The menu was simple yet extensive and although there is an impressive lineup of a whole range of different dishes, we knew exactly what we had to try.
We started with an order of calamari – disappointing – it was however, enough to tidy us up till the main arrived. Â The star of the evening was of course the West Coast Bucket Boil (AED 150 per person) and it arrived on our table piping hot. Â A medley of crab claws, mussels, lobster, rate potatoes, merguez sausage and sweetcorn served in an absolutely delightful sauce. Â An absolute joy to eat we even scooped up all the gravy with the bread and fries.
Dessert is also a decadent affair and those with a penchant for all things sweet will adore the soft and gooey freshly baked brownies served with ice cream. We personally loved the pecan pie-a true American classic dessert, that was indulgent and heavy and we don’t often find here in Dubai.
Crab Tavern has a relaxed vibe and is the ideal place to unwind after a hectic week at work.
Crab Tavern will be closing down at the end of May 2017 and is currently hosting some great offers on drinks and a 2 for the price of 1 weekend brunch offer (3-course set menu) on Friday and Saturday from 2pm-5pm.
