Toro & Ko is a chic Barcelona-inspired tapas bar from award-winning chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette located at The Square, the licensed dining destination in City Walk.
The concept brings the soul and spirit of Barcelona to Dubai by way of Manhattan. With locations in Boston, New York, and Bangkok, Toro & Ko is bringing the eclectic Spanish fare both chefs are known for, with a focus on local ingredients from the surrounding markets in Dubai.
We were invited to their laidback Friday brunch that is filled with familiar Spanish dishes with a twist. Given the cool weather, we sat in the outdoor street level terrace. After a brief introduction, we were told to sit back and the dishes would be brought out to us. There is no menu, you just have to wait till the food comes to the table.
In order to not spoil your surprise, we won’t give away much, but will tell you that you will be served an array of extremely tasty tapas. In the mains you are given a choice of steak and paella. Both servings are generous and enough for two to share. We absolutely adored the seafood paella which was oozing with flavours from the sea. We finished this spectacular brunch with a selection of quientessential Spanish desserts.

The Friday brunch starts at AED 325 with soft drinks, AED 450 with house beverages and AED 550 with bubbly.
