TEMPTATION ABOUNDS AT THIS RICHLY INDULGENT BREAKFAST SPOT

Sal’s Bistro is a cozy neighbourhood breakfast spot in Jumeirah Islands.

If you love nothing more than rolling out of bed on the weekend and indulging in a hearty breakfast then Sal’s Bistro should be your go-to spot. Located in the heart of Jumeirah Islands, with a cozy lakeside setting, it has been designed to look like a greenhouse. The terrace by the lake is ideal for the upcoming cooler winter months and the indoors is inviting and homely during these long warm months.

This Bistro concept has been created by the famous father and son, Joe & Jason Bassili known across Dubai for their award-winning “Le Fumoir by Joe Bassili” smoked salmon-which means most breakfast dishes have been reimagined with a seafood twist.

The breakfast menu has more than just the regular dishes we are used to seeing. Yes, you will find the usual Eggs Benedict and Avocado on Toast but they have all been given an upgrade. The regular fry-up has been elevated by a few notches and is presented as steak on eggs served on top of a hash brown and topped with a silky Hollandaise sauce. This hearty dish is bound to keep you happily full for the rest of the day!

The standout dish is the signature Le Fumoir Famous Smoked Salmon Hashbrown. Their famous and unmatched smoked salmon is topped with two organic fried eggs, red radish, baby rocca leaves, capers, red onions and tobiko. Beautifully presented, you can’t beat this dish.

For something sweet, there’s the French Toast made with brioche bread and topped with vanilla cream and fresh berries, but we hear the pancakes topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramelised banana and mixed berries, drizzled with Maple Syrup hits the sweet spot.

We washed down this feast with multiple cups of coffee-they source their beans from our local favourite Boon Coffee, which gives them additional points from us. Sal’s Bistro is the best way to start your lazy weekend morning.
