Al Beiruti Restau-Café has recently opened its doors and it has already created quite a buzz. The industrial decor is given a charming touch with the patterned tiles and other decor details. There is also plenty of outdoor seating that is perfect during these cooler months.
An all-day dining destination (they open as early as 8am for breakfast), the menu features classic Lebanese dishes along with traditional dishes made in homes across Beirut.
The different varieties of hummus make it a tough decision but our order of the hummus with shawarma meat hit the spot. The delicate vine leaves and crunchy Fattoush salad are other must-haves from the cold starters.
In the hot mezze the Al Beiruti kibbeh, chicken liver and grilled halloumi are all packed with flavor and very satisfying.
From the mains we picked the mixed grill that was accompanied with some grilled veggies and crispy fries cut in a unique manner (we adored these!). The combination of the tender meat dipped in the garlic sauce and accompanied with the sides was absolutely delightful!
Al Beiruti not only serves authentic Lebanese food, but they sell artisanal Lebanese specialties including; olive oils, olives, jams, cheese. All the ingredients are sourced from authentic Lebanese suppliers, and prices range between AED 24 to AED 45 per item.
