Located at The Pointe, A Cappella offers a global menu with fantastic views of the fountains.
The Pointe is the perfect location to impress out-of-town guests or then head over with family for a relaxing evening. Our latest discovery is A Cappella, a global restaurant located on the top floor. Featuring a spacious outdoor terrace, the restaurant is modern yet fuss-free. The views are simply fantastic as you get a front seat to the dancing fountains and The Atlantis hotel.
The menu features some of the most popular dishes from around the world-it really is a place that caters to all palettes and you will be spoilt for choice. To make things simpler we decided to opt for the Set Menu that can be either vegetarian or then non-vegetarian.
We started with the amuse bouche which was dark rye bread with guacamole and a small mug of tomato soup. Next were the small plates where we chose to go with beef carpaccio topped with sprouts, ponzu dressing and brioche croutons. A wonderful combination with plenty of crunch this was a good pick! But it was the gambas al ajillo that won us over-cooked in a generous serving of garlic and olive oil they had a slight kick to them and we loved the sauce that we scooped up with the garlic bread.
The curry dusted pan-seared salmon is a filling and packed with flavor dish-it is served with pok choy and petit vegetables cooked in a creamy coconut cardamom beurre blanc sauce.
For something a little more indulgent the bbq short ribs that have been slow-cooked for 24 hrs and include horseradish mash and snow peas is a great option.
The meal ends on a sweet note of mango gelato.
