A French-Japanese Sharing Menu at NETTE Al Barari.

NETTE is a French-Japanese lifestyle restaurant with two outposts in Dubai, including its original location in Al Quoz. The simple, well-executed dishes bring together indulgent French flavours with lighter Japanese influences. At night, NETTE Al Barari takes on a more intimate, slower pace. Set within Al Barari’s lush greenery, it feels like a quiet escape with soft ambient lighting and an unhurried atmosphere.

Here they have recently introduced a new dinner menu, guided by their philosophy of balance. It centres on small plates, open rolls and flavourful bites.

We began with a delicate tuna tartare, made with fresh fish, paired with avocado, crispy puff pastry chips and a light yuzu dressing. The shrimp tempura roll set on crisp nori sheet, was layered with kabayaki sauce and a subtle touch of French mustard-light, with a slight kick.

In the mains the chilli garlic prawns served with rice is bold and fiery. But it is the comforting and very hearty miso braised beef French dip sandwich served in ciabatta bread, a bowl of miso jus for dipping, and side of homemade fries, that truly won us over!

For a sweet finale, we picked the signature chocolate and sesame dessert ‘sushi’-a playful dish that completely satisfied our sweet cravings.
