OUR FAVORITE URBAN BALKAN BISTRO IS NOW AT TIME OUT MARKET

Discover soul food straight from the Balkans.

21 GRAMS is a vibrant bistro serving honest, wholesome soul food from the mountains, valleys and coasts of the Balkans. We have been huge fans of this first of its kind, urban Balkan bakery and deli in Dubai, right from the start. The cozy spot now has a new outpost at Time Out Market and we couldn’t be happier!

The brand new location offers everything from an all-day breakfast to baked goodness and deli plates. The tempting menu is all carefully executed by a true Balkan Bedouin, Head Chef Uros. The dishes offer a fresh and authentic selection that includes meat and cheese burek and traditional Balkan pies.

We visited them at Time Out Market and were delighted to be greeted by some of the familiar faces. Despite being within a massive food hall, their counter has a few accessories that reflect their personal style. From the cookbooks and plant, we love the attention to detail.

We started with the spinach phyllo pie served with herb yogurt-the perfectly cooked pastry is a must-try. The komplet egg was served inside homemade flat bread with sour cream and beef jus, we added on the chorizo sausages that elevated the deliciousness factor and made it a very hearty and filling meal.

The greek salad was crunchy and refreshing and the perfect side dish.

Although Time Out Market has some of our favorite foodie joints, we know that 21 Grams will always be one we pick a dish or two from whenever we visit.
