A NEW CASUAL EATERY TO SATISFY YOUR BAO AND SLIDER CRAVINGS

We can’t ever say no to a soft pillowy bao or a hearty slider!

London Slide has a prime location at the foot of the iconic Ain Dubai on Bluewaters Island. With Rich Simmons unique London’s Shoreditch style art plastered on the walls and a fun and funky retro atmosphere, this is the perfect place to stop if you are in the mood for a quick bite.

The menu is simple-a choice of baos, sliders and fries. There is also a variety of different lemonade flavors and shakes to quench your thirst.

Slide on Over…

Sliders include the ‘The Duke’ features Wagyu beef, brie, mushrooms with thyme, truffle, avocado, slathered in Japanese mayo.

We picked ‘Big Ben’ featuring grass fed Angus pattie, Cheddar cheese, pickle, lettuce, red onion, tomato and mustard. A classic burger, it came in a pair of two and we were quick to devour them both with a side of sweet potato fries.

For those wanting chicken sliders the ‘Southern Smoke’ combines fried Chicken, slaw, smoked cheese, jalapeno, pickles and chipotle Aioli. The ‘Fleet Street Fillet’ fish slider comes with cheddar, pickles, lettuce, tomato, red onion, adorned with freshly made caper dill mayo.

Vegetarians aren’t ignored here and the ‘Covent Garden’ is a feast of vegetable rosti, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato, fused with chipotle and tzatziki sauces.

Now time to take a bao…

If like us you can’t resist a pillowy bao then London Slide is your go-to place.

Our first pick was the ‘Spicy Beef’ made with slow cooked beef brisket that melted in the mouth, kim chi, cucumber, crispy onions, chilli, spring onion and coriander-this combination was packed with flavor.

The ‘Tiger Prawn’ was a combination of marinated tiger prawns, house-made slaw, cucumber and wasabi with chilli sauce inside a soft and fluffy bao.

Again, the ‘Crispy Fried Tofu’ bao with pickled vegetables, mushrooms and Tonkatsu is the veggie option that we definitely want to try next time.
