Move over macaroons – there’s a new trend in the confectionary world and it’s available in Dubai!
We found Cake Pops (round lollipop-shaped cakes, coated in chocolate and beautifully decorated) to buy at Sugaholic, located in Karama. Don’t be put off by the address, as the bakery is very easy to find – and it’s well worth the journey, with a bright, colourful interior that made us feel nostalgic for traditional sweet shops.
Each Cake Pop is large enough to have a personalised message or design added. They taste delicious and come with a very affordable price tag.
If you are not too fond of Cake Pops try something different, you won’t be disappointed… We loved the fact that Sugaholic offer a bespoke cupcake service, allowing us to customize toppings. To celebrate reaching 4000 followers on Twitter (btw: click here to follow us ! ), we had a set of cupcakes made with our Dubai skyline logo.
We were also impressed that the company has evolved with the current trend for allergy-friendly food, with gluten-free and egg-free cupcakes on offer.
