On a bright sunny day, you can take a seat outside or nestle into the cozy dining space inside for a more casual yet sophisticated experience. You’ll feel right at home with the throwback music and the friendly staff who will help you choose the perfect dishes.
The menu focuses on staple Mediterranean favourites infused with a contemporary flare. We started with the feta wrapped in phyllo and drizzled with honey from Crete. Crispy, sweet, salty, and creamy this starter was truly moreish.
The sizzling hot garlic butter prawns were served with herby za’atar pita triangles-perfect for soaking up the aromatic sauce.
In the mains the tender and flaky whole grilled sea bream was delicately seasoned with lemon and herbs. The heritage lamb roast was the showstopper-slow cooked in parchment, the 12-hour marinated lamb was served with charlotte potatoes, seasonal vegetables and topped with Mornay sauce and Gruyère.
Although satisfied and full, we still managed to make room for the creamy, light homemade tiramisu-and it was absolutely delightful!
The meal was colourful and vibrant. In a neighbourhood where eclectic food is bursting at the seams, Bellazul truly stands out.
