SMOOTHIE RECIPES TO HELP YOU STAY HYDRATED DURING SUMMER

Smoothie with coconut water

Bursting with naturally occurring electrolytes, coconut water is the perfect addition to your smoothies this summer and will help avoid dehydration

Whether you’re relaxing at home or enjoying some downtime with friends and family, Hala Barghout – founder of Nutritalks and Colour My Plate in Dubai as well as Vita Coco*’s nutritionist, has created some delicious and nutritious smoothies to help keep hydration and energy levels up throughout summer!

Green Coconut Smoothie (Serves 1)

  • 200ml of coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut yoghurt
  • 1 big handful of spinach
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon of bee pollen (optional)

Peel the banana then place everything into a blender and blend until smooth.

 

Morning Smoothie (Serves 1)

  • 150ml of coconut water
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 big handful of spinach
  • 2 handfuls of frozen berries
  • 1/2 a cup of almond milk
  • 3 tablespoons of oats
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 2 medjool dates

Simply peel the banana and pit the dates, then put everything into your blender and blend until smooth!

 

Ultimate Smoothie (Serves 1)

  • 150ml of ice cold coconut water
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 a cup of blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of oats
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 2 medjool dates

Pit the dates then place all of the ingredients together in the blender and blend until smooth for 2 minutes.

 

Coconut Rose Water (Serves 2)

  • 800ml Vita Coco Coconut Water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of rosewater
  • 1 handful of fresh berries
  • 1 handful of edible flowers (available in Spinneys)

Simply combine the coconut water and rosewater in a glass pitcher and add in the fresh berries and edible flowers for the perfect revitalizing and hydrating drink!
