Enjoy delectable seafood dishes at Alto Mar in Jumeirah.

When it comes to seafood, we want it fresh.  So, imagine our delight when we stumbled across Alto Mar, a casual dining seafood restaurant, located at the fishing harbour.  A brightly lit and airy space inside, the decor is simple with hints of a nautical theme.
We began our meal with an order of sauté clams served with olive oil, lemon, garlic and coriander (54 AED).  The dish was loaded with flavour and we thoroughly enjoyed dipping the freshly baked bread into the light sauce.

For our mains we went straight for the seafood menu.  The octopus Lagareiro style with roasted baby potatoes ( 114 AED) came highly recommended, so we were quick to choose it.  A typical Portuguese dish, the tender octopus was cooked in olive oil and utterly delicious.

 Our order of slow-cooked seabass with tomato rice and mixed vegetables ( 108 AED) was a lovely combination.  We requested the rice to be served separately, as it would have made the dish too heavy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and finished every last bite.  Alto Mar offers seafood directly from the skippers and it really can’t get more fresh than that!
