Enjoy freshly baked traditional manaesh flatbreads in a wood-fired oven at Mama’esh.
We ended up at Mama’esh for a quick bite while running errands around town. Located in Business Bay overlooking a parking lot (not the most ideal location), we can overlook that detail because of its delicious food. If you live in Jumeirah, then take note of their new location on Al Wasl.
The concept is simple- serving the neighbourhood lavishly with traditional manaesh flatbreads at fair prices, using only the finest handpicked real and fresh ingredients, baked freshly in our authentic wood fired stone oven.
The décor in both locations is cute with no-frills and a few tables in the patio. We sat down and were quick to order and despite the full house our food arrived surprisingly fast.
The musakhan rolls (25 AED) were truly amazing and exploding with flavour. A quintessential Palestinian dish made with chicken, sumac and onions wrapped in thin, freshly baked bread.
The Za’atar & Akkawi woodfired flatbread (10 AED) had the perfect balance of flavours and served piping hot straight from the oven.
The joint also carries Palestinian deli products such as cold pressed Palestinian Olive Oil, Nabali Green Olive Tapenade, Olive Honey and Sun-dried tomato caper spreads.
Mama’esh is an affordable, lively, no-fuss place serving classic street food, done perfectly. Although they offer home delivery in the area, you definitely want to go there to enjoy the experience and the food straight from the oven. Oh, and we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
