DELICIOUS ARTISANAL BREAD

One of the things we love about Dubai Mall is the bakery shop Eric Kayser – we told you we have an obsession for patisseries.  We’ve been fans of its original European and American counterparts for years, so of course we were thrilled to hear that this bakery is now on our shores.

Their tourte, a loaf of bread made with Sarasin (buckwheat) flour, is famous across the continent and one of our favourite bread in Dubai (and we have had very, very many).  It’s moist, with a rich but not overpowering wheat flour flavor backed by a bit of sourdough bite.

Although it is not cheap (45 AED the loaf) we place it in the pantheon of bread and pastry bakers in Dubai. The baguettes are also reliably good, unlike other places where the quality changes all the time.
