Seagrill Bistro at Fairmont The Palm ticks all the boxes for an ideal Friday brunch in Dubai.
When the weekend comes, we want spend every minute we possibly can outdoors. If you feel the same way, then the Seagrill Bistro Brunch taking place every Friday is one you must not miss.
Although there is plenty of indoor seating with lots of natural sunlight, the outdoor space is what we recommend. Overlooking the Dubai Marina skyline and the sea, it is the perfect spot to enjoy these cooler months, that we wait for all year long. There is also a DJ playing laidback tunes initially and then as the afternoon wears on, he takes it up a notch with a little more upbeat music.
The sharing style menu offers a selection of Mediterranean and European-inspired signature dishes. Our feast began with a beautifully presented seafood platter brought straight to the table-a wonderful medley of fresh shellfish and crustaceans along with Belgian mayonnaise, oyster bread and mignonette sauce.
The starters that follow, quickly fill up the table with delightful petite dishes that are ideal for sharing. The spread includes everything from foie-gras crumble, beef tartare, beetroot salad, burrata, tuna salad and our personal favourite, crab cakes.
The mains are an impressive line-up of a traditional Mediterranean fish stew, Seabass filet, roasted chicken with pan jus, mushroom pasta and a medley of grilled veggies. It really is quite the spread and each dish is a delight of flavors and colors. For us the star dish was the simple but comforting bowl of mushroom pasta.
Dessert is yet another impressive affair of three classic, mouthwatering delights-baked Alaska, apple tarte tatin and a decadent chocolate cake. Chocolate lovers like us, will devour the cake that is brought to the table and a generous slice is cut up by the server.
The food and the setting both make this a top contender when it comes to picking a place to enjoy a relaxed brunch with friends.
Seagrill Bistro Brunch  is located at Fairmont The Palm and takes place every Friday, served between 12:30 pm and 4 pm (last orders at 3:30 pm)
