Looking to enjoy an afternoon out with friends chatting over delicate pastries and finger sandwiches? Society Café & Lounge is where you should head to.
Housed inside a restored villa along Jumeirah, we love the modern minimal decor. Featuring four distinct spaces including a lounge and terrace, it is the glasshouse conservatory flooded with natural light, that is our favourite seating area.
Once seated we were offered the signature mocktail – the High Society (sparkling grape infused with blueberry served with a sprinkle of gold dust). The afternoon tea features a two-tiered platter of classic treats with a modern twist including Mini Sweet Potato & Kale Muffins, Mini Date and Pecan Pie and Pistachio Pavlova with Diplomat Cream. Purists can satisfy their cravings with the homemade Butter Milk Scones served with clotted cream and berry marmalade.
The chocolate pot de crème was our personal favorite amongst the sweet treats. The egg mayonnaise with cress sandwiches were light are also hard to resist.  We washed it all down with a carafe of homemade lemonade and flavored tea.
Afternoon Tea at Society Café & Lounge is an elegant affair filled with a tantalizing spread, that offers something for every taste.
Priced at AED 150 per person (including VAT), Society Café & Lounge’s afternoon tea is available daily between 2 to 6 p.m. and has to be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Afternoon Tea in Dubai at Society Cafe & Lounge is available daily from 2pm to 6 pm.
