Orskin Aesthetics is one of the most sought after (and chicest) aesthetics clinic in Dubai. I finally made it there and was booked in with Dr Asima Nasir, for a skin consultation. Taking a holistic approach, she carefully helped me map out a long-term plan that would help get my skin on track.

The first recommendation was to try PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) — the stronger, more advanced version of PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). This second-generation platelet concentrate is known to improve skin texture and tone, while softening fine lines and wrinkles — exactly what I was looking for.

For anyone struggling with under-eye skin issues including hollows and bags, PRF is a game-changer. Using the healing powers of platelets, PRF can add moisture to your skin and boost blood flow to fight the appearance of a tired complexion and refine skin tone.

Unlike other treatments, this one requires drawing blood. As someone who finds that a bit daunting, I have to say — at Orskin, they made it incredibly easy. The nurse was gentle and kept me distracted throughout, making the whole process feel seamless. Since I was feeling indulgent, I also requested a shoulder massage before the treatment, which definitely helped ease any nerves.

Once the PRF had been separated — in a different room — Dr. Asima got to work. With a gentle hand (and a stress ball in mine), she began injecting the PRF across various points on my face. The process was quick and surprisingly not too painful. My skin was red for about an hour afterward, and I was given strict post-treatment instructions: no makeup that day and no sun exposure for the next few days.

I love the results! I literally started noticing a difference in my skin texture by the very next day — and there was definitely more volume around my nasolabial folds. Even a few lingering acne marks faded almost instantly. My skin also felt more glowy, hydrated, and firmer than it had in a while.
