Multi-award winning and Michelin Guide listed Masti, which translates to ‘fun and mischief’ is all about giving a modern and fun spin to traditional flavours and dishes. Located at The Edition Dubai, the stunning setting blends old with new and evokes a sense of nostalgia. From the eye-catching stained glass elephant sculpture to the handcrafted furniture, the space is inviting and intriguing. This, combined with the relaxed ambiance and friendly service, makes an experience you will want to linger over long into the night.
Offering Chef Prashant Chipkar’s unique take on Indian cuisine, the sharing plates are influenced by a variety of global flavours. It is an absolute must to start the meal with the avocado pan puri-a perfect balance of sweet and tangy made with guacamole, liche de Tigre and tamarind chutney.
From the hot plates the deviled crab-made with Alaskan crab and Sri Lankan spices-is rich and fiery, best enjoyed with a piping hot naan. We quickly devoured the spiced nalli-beef marrow served on bone and topped with a ghee roast sauce-perfectly mopped up with the uthappam.
Prioritise the grilled lamb chops-succulent and juicy, they melt in your mouth. The fragrant lamb biryani is bursting with flavour-we topped it with the yogurt raita and side of corn sprouted moong chaat. Its generous portion makes it perfect for a convivial feast.
Dessert is rarely the highlight for us, but the signature rose Falooda-prepared on the table with Insta-worthy theatrics, made it a treat worth a return visit.
