Black Cod is one of our ultimate favourite dishes but the high price at most restaurants has had us hunting for a more affordable alternative for a while.

We’ve finally found a rival at a discreet Asian eatery on Sheikh Zayed Road. The Black Cod is served in larger portions, which two can easily share. When it comes to taste, it really was in close competition to Zuma. The fish was cooked to perfection; moist, tender, cooked in a delicious sauce, and garnished with spring onions and lemon.

The eatery has contemporary décor and a relaxed ambience, serving a vast array of Japenese, Chinese, and Korean dishes. We were pleasantly surprised to discover it busy at lunchtime with mostly an Asian clientele enjoying their meals. Staff also seemed well versed with the menu, which was helpful and refreshing.
