GET READY TO BOARD THE JETSET SALON, GROSVENOR HOUSE

jet set salon dubai

There’s something about airports that we all love. Whether we are jetting off somewhere or simply waiting to greet friends at arrivals, the sense of excitement can be infectious. So when we heard about JetSet Salon in Grosvenor House, which is modeled on an airport check-in experience, we were more than a little intrigued to visit.

The interior of the salon is designed to have an aviation theme, with check-in desks when you arrive, staff uniform similar to cabin crew, and the walls and furniture looking like the inside of a cabin. The salon offers everything you would expect from a hair salon – with the added quirk of services having names that play along with the theme.

The salon is spacious, with clean white walls that give the space an airy feel. Regardless of the unique theme, it’s a comfortable place to spend time and the staff ensure that clients receive a first class experience.

We highly recommend the well-executed Wash and Blow-dry, which is reasonably priced at 105 AED. This is one flight that won’t eat into your holiday budget or leave your feeling jetlagged – so make sure you check in soon.

I had my hair done there before we went for afternoon tea in Burj al Arab so I wanted to look really nice. When I went there I regret straight away what I was wearing, I should have covered myself a bit more even though I worn not very revealing dress. There were 2 guys doing hair and girls washing hair and preparing, cleaning etc. From the very 1st minute the guy who should do my hair couldnt stop starring at my chest that I found so uncomfortable. I was so pleased when the girl put tower around my shoulders. But still, whenever I got up and moved to different chair he looked me up and down. Couldnt wait to be gone. On the other hand the girl who wash my hair was brilliant, gentle, put mask in my hair, was very polite and treated me very nice. And about my blow dry? I must say it was really good one. Even my husband was like wow, you look fab. Salon looked ok, nothing special, it was only a small room with few chairs and mirrors :) There was one more thing I didn´t like, how those men treated girls on lower positions, they spoke to them in not very nice way, rather abrupt and bossy which for me as a client wasn´t really 5* environment. A paid 185 Dhs for my hair a prosmised to myself that never again :)

Have your say!
