An old-time favourite for piping hot Lebanese style bread.

We love popping into the big chain confectioners when we are in the mall, with their modern fittings and international menus – but the experience can’t compare to the charm of Dubai’s oldest bakery, where the décor is basic but full of character.

Our favourite item on the menu at Al Reef Bakery, located opposite Al Wasl Square, is  the Manakeesh. The traditional Lebanese bread has a range of different toppings to pick from, including our personal favourite Zaatar and Cheese (7 AED).   Freshly baked in the wood oven, the carb-loaded snack is more of a filling meal.

Al Reef Bakery is our secret indulgence whenever we are short of time and have rumbling stomachs.  Comfort food at its finest.
