ENJOY A TRADITIONAL ARABIC IFTAR IN A CONTEMPORARY SETTING

Iftar at Vida Dubai

Break the fast with typical Middle Eastern food and drinks this Ramadan.

Vida Hotel is one of our favorite spots because of its sleek design aesthetics, but it is their food that always has us coming back for more.  This Ramadan we had to try their Iftar offerings at 3in1 a modern Oriental themed restaurant. The concept is simple yet innovative, once the breaking of the fast is announced guests can choose their appetizers from a large buffet style spread.

There is a wide range of hot mezza including freshly baked breads, manakeesh and other cheese and spinach filled savory pastries that come piping hot out of the wood oven.  Cold mezzas include the traditional dips like hummus, tabbouleh and labneh and there are also options of cold meats and fresh salads.

The choice of drinks is also refreshing and a must-try for those who aren’t familiar with local flavors-tamarind, laban and jellab are ideal for cooling down after a long day of fasting.

The mains are brought out directly to the table.  An impressive line-up that includes a tender mix grill, hearty portion of lamb ouzi, hammour and  vegetable saloona stew.

For desserts it is back to the buffet where those with a sweet tooth can rejoice.  A rich and decadent medley of both Arabic and International sweet bites-we adored the simple creme brûlée and crispy baklava dipped in sugar syrup and drizzled with nuts.

3in1 offers a peaceful Iftar experience with an innovative contemporary style display of the food-its a relaxing atmosphere accompanied by authentic and delicious food.
