Where to enjoy an outdoor brunch in Dubai.
If you’re looking for a brunch option that suits the whole family, then you may want to check out the new Friday Farmers Brunch at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and Spa’s family-friendly Al Forsan restaurant.
One of the best things about this brunch is the setting which really has an exotic and oasis-like feel. Outdoor tables are set up over lush green lawn while you enjoy five-star cuisine while taking in spectacular views of the surrounding desert.
The international buffet caters to all tastes and celebrates some of the most popular cuisines found around Dubai, including traditional Arabic and Indian dishes, as well as sushi, barbeque and seafood specialties. This by far is one of the biggest brunch buffets we have ever seen. The food seems never ending as it is spread across five different rooms and live cooking stations.
After sampling a wide range of mouth-watering signature dishes, we were most impressed with the fresh burrata, braised beef brisket, and shrimp coconut ceviche. The little ones will be delighted to check out the special corner that has everything they could evet want – including French fries, sausages, macaroni and cheese, cotton candy, a chocolate fountain and more than 20 different desserts from around the world.
Yet, the great food is only one part of this outdoor brunch experience. Spending the day here really feels like a full-day celebration as the environment is festive and relaxing with so many activities on offer. Children will be entertained by clowns and magicians, while they can also ride a pony, visit the petting zoo, get their face painted or have fun in the bouncy castle.
The adults can enjoy a game of golf and great music, in addition to a fun camel ride around the venue. One of the highlights of this outdoor brunch is the setup which was really designed to allow the adults to sit back and relax while they can watch their children play nearby, which really makes all the difference.
The Friday Farmers Brunch at Bab Al Shams is open from 12:30pm to 4pm and priced at AED 345 per person (including food, still water, soft beverages and fresh juices), AED 515 per person (including food and selected house beverages). Children under 4 years of age can enjoy complimentary lunch and a 50% discount is applicable for children between 5-12 years old.
