Demon Duck by Chef Alvin Leung is Caesars Palace Dubai’s signature Chinese restaurant.
Dubai has no shortage of solid Chinese restaurants and we all have our firm favorites. Demon Duck is one that has already become a go-to for many in the short time that it has been around and but we hadn’t yet visited it till this past weekend. Located at Caesars Palace, this is Chef Alvin Leung’s latest restaurant concept.
A global celebrity TV personality and touted as one of Asia’s most notorious chefs, Alvin Leung brings a whole new creative, innovative twist to much loved Chinese and Asian classics, and a duck specialty menu at his first restaurant in the Middle East.
Demon Duck brings high energy ambience, eccentric and playful theatricality, a trendy speak-easy style bar with cocktails inspired by Hong Kong, and a superlative menu of Pan Asian dishes.
The fun, extensive menu offers Chinese classics with an original twist. We began with crunchy soft-shell crab spring rolls served with an xo sauce. Next was the wagyu short rib gyoza that had a hint of black truffle and was delightful when paired with the spicy mayo that came on the side.
In the mains we began with the roasted black cod with black beans and fermented olives. The soft buttery fish was enhanced with the orange miso sauce.
The star of the evening was the crispy duck that had an aromatic cumin rub on it. The duck was brought out to our table and shredded before us. The meat was unbelievably tender and the skin was perfectly crispy. Rolled inside the pancakes, pineapple sauce and delicately sliced spring onions and cucumber this dish, we absolutely adored it. The duck is roasted in a traditional manner but it has a unique flavor to it. We have already made plans to return with a group of friends to enjoy the full portion of this phenomenal dish.
An indulgent and luxe experience, Demon Duck has totally won us over!
Demon Duck is located at Caesars Palace Dubai, Bluewaters Island.
