ADD THIS BUZZY NEW SPOT AT DUBAI HARBOR TO YOUR DINING LIST

Bar Du Port is located on the luxurious waterfront development, Dubai Harbour.

Bar Du Port is a stylish Mediterranean restaurant that has opened its doors at Dubai Harbour. One of the first restaurants to open on this luxurious new waterfront development, we were excited to head there for a dinner review. The decor at the entrance is fun and playful with a swing that is ideal for a quick photo op before guests head in.

Inside the industrial style room offers a relaxed charming atmosphere reminiscent of of the Ligurian Riviera, with the glamour and playfulness of the Côte d’Azur and the subtle simplicity of the Greek islands.

The bar and brasserie exudes an aura of sophisticated comfort, showcasing a luxe bohemian décor that defines understated luxury. The earthy tones of the room are complemented with raw timber and natural materials. The abundance of statement lighting adds an instant wow-factor, encapsulating a timeless elegance that oozes an ultra-luxe feel.

We also took a quick peek at the the large outdoor terrace with beautiful views of the Dubai Harbour. Set to open in the next two weeks, the setting will transport you to the shores of an enchanting Mediterranean island.

The menu offers French-influenced cuisine inspired by Mediterranean coastal flavors. Highlight dishes include the Escargots (pink garlic, herb butter, tomato confit), Oysters N3 (lemon, shallot confit in xeres vinegar), Langoustine Linguine (caviar, langoustine bisque), Wood Grilled Octopus (dried chorizo, tomato tartare), Slow Cooked 250D Grain-Fed Angus Short Ribs, and Pain Perdu (with caramel sauce).

A few of our favorites included the freshly made rustic flatbread topped with brie cheese, honey, rosemary and cinnamon fig jam. The chicken comté croquettes with truffle sauce were delightful but it was the mini burgers that really won us over. The 12 hour slow-cooked smoked beef literally melted in the mouth and if we didn’t have other dishes coming, we would have ordered another round.

We adored the endive salad. Made with a combination of red and white endives, roquefort, pear chips and walnuts, it had a light whole grain dressing.

In the mains the truffle risotto and chicken paillard with lemon butter sauce were also a big hit. We quite enjoyed eating the two together.

We ended the meal with the signature pain perdu topped with a generous serving of caramel sauce.

Bar Du Port truly captures the essence of the Mediterranean, offering a luxurious experience that still manages to feel welcoming and unpretentious.
