Kids usually say “It’s one of their best snacks ever”
Are you struggling to find good ideas to prepare homemade snacks that will reduce the sugar consumption level without compromising that natural sweet taste?
Since we discovered this simple recipe that doesn’t require any cooking skills and is ready in no time, it has become a staple in the house.
To prepare six bars
150g Medjool dates
3 tsp unsugared cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 generous tsp cocoa beans nibs
- Place the pitted dates and almonds inside a blender and pulse until the almonds are coarsely chopped and mixed with the dates.
- Add the other ingredients and blend
- Pour the mix in a rectangular mold and (add baking paper at the bottom).
- Chill in the fridge overnight and cut the day after into six bars
The date and cocoa bars can be made one week ahead and you can store them inside airtight bags at room temperature. Oh, and these bars are also the ideal treat to enjoy after a hard workout !
