Qbara Dubai is offering a zingy and delicious summer menu.
Dubai has so many amazing restaurants that offer top-notch food. But we do have a few firm favourites and one of them is of course, Qbara. Serving contemporary Arabic dishes, it sets the bar high in terms of quality, service and most importantly the innovative recipes. We were recently invited to try out the light summer menu devised by the Chef for these hot days.
The meal began with a colourful array of crisp, cool, raw vegetables served on a bed of ice and accompanied by a rich truffle labneh. The creamy burrata came with heirloom tomatoes, fresh za’atar and spring onions-a fusion of familiar flavours that worked so well together. The falafel salad with chargrilled gems, cucumber and tahini tarator was enjoyable. It was however, the crude of yellow tail, coriander seeds, persian lime and caviar that was an absolute delight.
In the mains we adored the heart and wholesome dish of grilled marinated poussin cooked with sumac onions and dried yogurt. For those who want something a little more healthy there is also the seven spice crispy salmon with moroccan tomato jam and mastic oil. The grilled vegetables inspired by the moroccan salad ‘mechouia’ were perfectly cooked and oozing with taste.
Leaving space for dessert was difficult but once it arrived on the table we couldn’t help but dig right into it. Layers of thin Tunisian ‘bastille pastry with sweet milk and strawberries was indulgent and delightful.
Qbara is ideal for an evening with a group of friends when you want to catch-up over a fine-dining experience.
The Qbara Summer Menu is priced at AED 295 per person
