We love finding new casual eateries not only because it’s easy on our pocket but also because we can slip into something comfortable and not worry about looking fancy.
Our latest discovery is through our alternate universe of twitter, we read about it on a fellow foodie’s blog (thank you therealgeordiearmani.com). A seafood joint, it may not be located on the beach but it sure transports you right into holiday mode. With a nautical theme of wood-planked walls, blue chairs and framed anchors the décor is simple and no-fuss, just how we prefer!
Given that the menu is dedicated to seafood, we were excited to handpick what we ate from the large display of fresh fish on ice. After checking several different varieties, we went for the Seabass. Since prices are determined by weight our fish was weighed and priced and then sent onwards to the kitchen for cooking (our meal cost 80AED for two).
On a side note we were disappointed to find that the overfished Hammour was also available.
Our fish was served perfectly grilled and topped with a light garlic and butter sauce. The side dish of Battata Harrara, deep fried potatoes with spices was wholesome and filling.
They also deliver fresh seafood to the house and there will be a minimum delivery charge depending on where you live.
