Craving good quality freshly baked bread, but not sure where to find it? We’ve just discovered the Sunflower Bakery, located in the Green Community, and highly recommend a visit. Owned by a German expat, the staff know how to bake bread to perfection.
There are over 20 delicious breads to choose from, including organic, rustic, and gluten-free. If you’re watching your weight, the Organic Fitness Bread (20 AED for 500g), made from rye sourdough with pumpkin and linseed, is both tasty and energising. The traditional German Black Bread (22 AED for 1kg) is full of fiber, making it a great addition to a healthy diet, whilst the simple English Batch Bread (12 AED for 350g) is light, fluffy, and very moreish.
If you fancy a snack, we recommend adding a handful of Pretzels to your basket (6 AED each) – they are baked to perfection and sprinkled with sea salt for that extra dash of flavour.
Not able to get to the Green Community? You’re in luck, as for a minimum charge of 100 AED and 24-hours notice, Sunflower Bakery will deliver to your doorstep. What better way to start the day?
