Located in Sharjah (but thankfully very easy to find), Greenhouse Supermarket is a wholesaler of delicatessen products from Europe for restaurateurs, delis and high-end grocery shops in both Sharjah and Dubai. Few people are aware that the store is also open to private clients – and it’s far too good to stay a secret…

The food storage rooms are hidden at the back of the warehouse and require you to walk through an administrative office to reach them. From there, you will be guided through three rooms packed full of imported canned vegetables, exotic olive oils and fine vinegars, dessert ingredients, biscotti, tea selections, and two huge cold rooms that contain a vast selection of cheeses and dairy products.

Most brands aren’t possible to find in regular supermarkets and come at a far cheaper price and larger volume than usually available. We personally recommend treating yourself to the Greco Yellowfin Tuna 620g for 56 AED and Cantuccini Astuccio Biscotti for 20 AED.  There is also a section dedicated to kitchenware utensils including knives and spoons.

The added advantage is the neighboring Thai supermarket with fresh Asian vegetables amongst other exotic ingredients that is worth popping into.
