A must visit Halal steak and seafood restaurant in London.

Located just off Grosvenor Square (entrance on South Audley Street) in the heart of Mayfair, 34 is a modern-day classic. A quintessential steak and seafood restaurant, the décor is elegant and the vibe is relaxed.

The décor includes burned orange banquettes, oak parquet and a colourful contemporary art collection give the room a warm and inviting look, highlighted by the bespoke charcoal grill in the open kitchen. The grill, also known as a parrilla and fed by natural fuels, was custom-made and imported from Argentina. The service is friendly and efficient and the servers were quick to let us know that the meat was Halal (an added bonus!).

The menu boasts an eclectic selection and the grill is used not only for beef, but also for seasonal game, fish and shellfish.

We began our meal with a forest mushroom soup with truffle brioche-rich and creamy, we absolutely adored it. The Cornish crab was served with pink grapefruit, avocado and pistachio was beautifully presented and a lovely mix of delicate flavours.

Our order of the caramelized fig and beetroot salad topped with lebnah, bulgar wheat and rainbow chard had just the right balance of sweet and savoury.

In the mains the Japanese sirloin was an excellent idea as it was grilled to perfection and served with a light soya dressing.

The lobster mac, a perennial favourite was an indulgent dish that we thoroughly enjoyed.

We made sure we left space for dessert because the legendary salted caramel torte was the perfect way to end this memorable meal.
