Opening their doors bright and early, La Famiglia welcomes patrons to discover its breakfast menu-refined and well-executed. The dining room space is grand yet understated, evoking a sense of old-world charm with crisp white tablecloths and perfectly polished silverware completing the look.
A refreshing take on breakfast you won’t find obvious choices here. Eggs royale is replaced with chicken pate with pear, while the typical açai bowls are swapped for cottage cheese and banana.
We started with the classic flaky croissant de beurre-crisp on the outside and soft, buttery within. The standout dish, though, is the fluffy omelette filled with creamy stracciatella, served with a side of roast heritage tomatoes-finished with generous dollops of the cheese on top, making it comforting without feeling heavy.
We ended with the exceptionally fluffy cottage cheese pancakes, served with fresh strawberry purée for a tart contrast-light, airy and with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s easy to see why this is one of the most recommended breakfast orders. The coffee is bold and full-bodied, while the freshly squeezed orange juice is a must-have for that morning dose of vitamin c.
Seemingly every corner of Dubai has breakfast favourites, but this is also a great spot for when you want to dress up a little. The dishes are all thoughtfully plated and packed with really interesting ingredients-it’s as indulgent as you want breakfast to be!
