Avli by tashas introduces a new Business Lunch in DIFC.
Avli by tashas located in the heart of DIFC in Dubai, is reminiscent of modern Athenian culture and the open-air courtyards of the Mediterranean, where every meal is an occasion. Inspired by restaurateur and founder Natasha Sideris’ Greek heritage, everything about Avli showcases her love for Athens.
Avli by tashas has just introduced a new Business Lunch that channels the rhythm of Athenian life.  The menu has been curated by Head Chef Vlassia Anagnostou to celebrate Greek flavours with a contemporary touch, with most ingredients sourced directly from Greece.
We began with a choice of mezedes, and our order of the Prawn Salad was light and refreshing with a zesty mustard and vinegar dressing. The second starter was a twist on the classic Greek favourite Spanakorizo Arancini, filled with spinach, leeks and whipped feta. It was simply delightful.
In the mains the Kritharaki, is a comforting orzo dish elevated with halloumi, parmesan, fresh mint, and a citrusy touch of lemon. The star dish, Beef Souvlaki featured melt-in-your-mouth beef skewers served with crispy fries, a delicious tzatziki, a fresh salad, and warm, fluffy pita bread. We’d go back for this dish alone!
Since we didn’t want to miss out on dessert, despite being far too full, we shared the Pisies-crisp layers of fried homemade phyllo with cheesecake cream, raspberries, and hazelnut praline. With a delightful balance of sweetness and crunch, it was a sublime finale!
