SAVOUR THE RICH COASTAL ANATOLIAN FLAVOURS AT BLUE DOOR

Nestled by the sea in a serene alfresco garden, Blue Door is a quiet hideaway serving an array of traditional Turkish mezze and grilled specialities-each dish crafted to reflect the vibrant culinary history of the region.

Even on one of the hottest summer evenings of July, the outdoor tables remain occupied. The space is not only cozy but also remarkably comfortable.

Using the finest ingredients from land and sea with age-old Turkish recipes, the menu is an eclectic mix of dishes including charcoal-grilled eggplant, and succulent marinated octopus infused with garlic and vibrant parsley.

We started with a mouthwatering mezze of charcoal grilled eggplant blended with bell pepper, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and pomegranate molasses.

The zesty roka salad with rocket leaves, tomato, Turkish Ezine cheese, walnuts served with pomegranate and lemon dressing kept us busy till the mains arrived.

 

The majestic musakka made with layers of fried eggplant, potatoes and minced beef with onion and garlic served with tomato sauce was not only hearty but also deeply satisfying.

Finally, the signature adana kebab-charcoal grilled marinated minced lamb skewer served with vegetables was a firm favourite on our table.

We ended the meal with a simple but satisfying Turkish yoghurt ice cream served with rock salt and olive oil.

At Blue Door, we were able to savour age-old recipes, made with fresh ingredients and served with quintessential Antolian hospitality.
