“Farm to table” is all the rage in the current culinary scene, but how about spending a day where we bring the table to the farm?
To start this new year dinner series, INKED will be taking things outdoors and spending the day on the farm, existing in that place for just that day, in grateful appreciation. Emirates Bio Farm will be the provider and backdrop for this appealing Table to Farm experience. If you are not yet familiar with Emirates Bio Farm, they are nestled in the sand dunes of Al Ain. What’s the plan?
After a walk through the plentiful rows of fresh harvest, and an educational tractor tour of the grounds, they will share a multi-course meal where you will receive the truest form of a farm to table experience.
All of the star ingredients will be sourced directly from the land, because it doesn’t get any better than seeing the freshness of the tomatoes before they become the show stealer on your flatbread starter.
Using the farm’s harvests, the Chefs will prepare simple and flavorful dishes for you to savor onsite for an unforgettable experience not only for the amazing meals but for the exquisite setting. Without walls, The Table to Farm experience will bring the freshness of fields, orchards, and artisanal foods to your new year’s dining experiences.
The nourishing experience doesn’t need to end when you leave the table as Emirates Bio Farm will be selling its fresh produce on the day.
All details about the scheduled events
Table to Farm will take place for only two days on January 18th and 19th 2019, with two different settings per day:
Lunch experience
The Emirates Bio Farm will open its doors at 10:30 am.
Tour of the farm starting at 11 am for one hour.
Lunch will start at 12pm sharp until 2pm.
Early dinner experience
The Emirates Bio Farm will open its doors at 4:00pm
Tour of the farm starting at 4:30pm for one hour.
Early dinner will start at 5:30pm sharp until 7:30pm.
The experience is priced at AED 350 per person and AED 195 for children between the ages of 6 to 12 years old. It includes a five course fully vegetarian menu (including dairy and eggs) and soft beverages.

A few words about the story of Emirates Bio Farm
With its lush greenery melting in the UAE landscape, Emirates Bio Farm is a beautiful and productive farm with an inspiring story. In 1997, Yahya Al Kodmani, an agriculture engineer with a generous dream, enrolled in Sheikh Zayed’s farming revolution of the desert and started the largest organic fertilizer factory in the region.
Today, the factory recycles animal manure and plant waste in order to produce natural, environmentally friendly, and organic fertilizers free of pathogens.
In 2016, Emirates Bio Farm was born and it became the largest private organic farm in the UAE as it continues to advocate environmental protection, health, and well-being of UAE residents.
