A Swiss ex-Air Force pilot named Yves Rossi, also known as “Jetman”, has jumped from a helicopter over the desert. The Guinness World Record-holding pilot soared through the cloudless skies of Dubai with a pair of jet-propelled wings while performing acrobatics moves. He is one of very few people to practise this hobby, which he has been doing now for eight years.
The sensation, he says, allows him to experience the skies like a bird. Next year we can expect even more impressive feats of flight as, according to his Facebook page, these previous stunts were a mere ‘warm-up’.
