Yhi Spa located inside Melia Hotel is offering a summer spa treatment in Dubai using Natura Bisse products called ‘The Mandarin Summer Retreat’ that lasts for a blissful two hours.
In anticipation of getting ready for the summer we booked a deep scrubbing treatment that entails an intensive full body scrub followed by a facial at the end-a surprising addition.
The therapy began with a deep body scrub using the signature Mandarin Polishing Beads. An effective way to remove every inch of dry and flaky skin and leave it feeling soft and glowing.
Any discomfort we felt during the deep scrubbing disappeared when the C+C Body mask was applied and we were cocooned into a heated blanket for 15 minutes. This process helps to seal the moisture into the skin so that it remains supple and firm while of course relaxing us completely.
We then headed for a quick shower and then lay back down for possibly our favorite part, the full body massage. The therapist applies pressure according to the client’s preference and it is the perfect way to feel invigorated and energized.
The two-hour treatment ended with the hydrating vitamin C facial-an unexpected addition that we haven’t ever had with a scrub treatment anywhere before.
Albeit not cheap at 695 AED, the treatment actually works on the entire body and leaves the skin feeling soft and rejuvenated. The added bonus is that the spa treatment allows guests access to the rooftop swimming pool that has a great view of the old side of town and the original port. The spa is small and intimate and fairly quiet. Trying out this treatment is also a great excuse to head over to the other side of town and chill out for the day without the possibility of bumping into anyone you may know.
