The must-have accessory to wear this season
It is no secret we are fond of jewelry, and our latest obsession is the independent French label called CHACHAWAX that creates boho chic jewelry with an ethnic vibe straight from Senegal.
The story behind this new brand.
When we saw the eye-catching, unique and colorful bracelets by Chachawax, we loved them at first sight and the story behind the project by a lady called Charlotte even more.
Charlotte the creator has a passion for Senegal and its landscape, colors, smells and especially its people, and CHACHAWAX is an ode to it all.
Charlotte used to travel often to Senegal and was always coming back with colorful bracelets as her friends were all begging her them.
In Senegal she met a lovely lady called Astou, who was creating these unique handcrafted bracelets in a local market in Dakar and this gave her the idea to work with Astou and launch the brand Chachawax. Creative, full of ideas and ambitions, Astou and Charlotte started working together and that’s how the adventure began.
Astou is now working with about 12 local women based Senegal to create these unique bracelets that are now sold in many different countries and concept stores around the world, including our new eshop!
The CHACHAWAX bracelets are made of wax fabric, python, and also colored plastics hand-woven by Senegalese women. Each bracelet is unique and will illuminate your wrists of the African heat.
The Tribal or Safari Chic collection
As each bracelet is unique, we have paired three to five of them together as they are meant to be worn stacked. Whatever your outfit is (color, style), they will upgrade your outfit and add a unique and trendy touch.
Be warned! They sell fast and we don’t have that many left on our shelves. The good news is they are very fairly priced, ranging between 145 and 165 AED.
The Goree Bracelets
It is also lovely to mix & match the Goree collection – large bracelets sold by piece that are made with plastic and hand-woven. They are a statement piece that go with every look!
