If you have an appetite for all things sweet then La Romana is the place for you. Established in Italy in 1947, this indulgent parlour can now also be found in a quiet corner of Al Barsha Mall: a haven of pure, sugary goodness.
La Romana’s creamy, rich and velvety ice cream is made using fresh milk from certified farms, with no added hydrogenated fats. There are 16 flavors to choose from – the hard bit is deciding which one to try first! We liked the ‘mousse’ flavour, which was topped with fresh walnuts and served in a crunchy biscuit cone (Dhs 14).
The parlor’s traditional décor, with its chalkboard menu and simple white shelves also made us nostalgic for a simpler past and eager to return and indulge our cravings once more for the delicious ice cream of La Romana.
