Dubai ladies love meeting up for tea and scones, but instead why not go with your partner on a romantic private ride around the man-made canal within the Madinat Jumeirah?

Our latest adventure is definitely something you haven’t heard of before-‘Hi-tea on an Abra’. 

They set the bar high right from the start and embarking on the journey with a bottle of bubbly.  The table is set in advance with an immaculate makeshift table setting with fine china and silverware. 

As you set sail, the butler begins with pouring your choice of tea or coffee, followed by the savory finger sandwiches and hearty scones.  The decadent sweet desserts of pastries come last-make sure you save some space for it.

The food is great but the view is distracting.  The abra passes through the different parts of the property and gives plenty of opportunity for photos including ones with the Burj Al Arab as the backdrop.

So forget the old-fashioned gondola rides in Venice because we can hire our private Abra and enjoy hi-tea as we meander through the canal.
