SPEND FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT THIS CHIC BEACHSIDE BRUNCH

Villamoré is located at Emerald Palace Kempinski, The Palm.

We were recently invited to try the Barefoot Lunch at Villamoré. Not having visited the hotel before, we were quite struck by the grand entrance and lobby. The restaurant however, has a completely different aesthetic-recalling the elegant coastal retreats of the Riviera, Villamoré is an effortlessly chic beachside restaurant and lounge hideaway located at the new Emerald Palace Kempinski, The Palm.

The beautiful January weather allowed us to be seated on the picturesque beachfront terrace with views of Dubai’s skyline. Villamoré’s rustic design, with its blue and white interiors, wooden tables and ceramic accents makes it cozy and charming.

The Barefoot Lunch menu is an eclectic mix of cuisine from regional Italy, the French Riviera with elements of Levantine cuisine. The meal begins with an impressive anti-pasti spread of cured meats, tapas, salads and cheese. We found it very hard to resist going back.

Next, Fine De Claire oysters, hand-shucked to order were brought out to our table along with refreshing tuna tartare and a greek salad. In the mains we picked a juicy sirloin and a quintessential Italian dish- a whole seabass cooked in a salt crust and presented with flair table-side.

The dessert plate has something for every palette-a light orange cake, panna cotta and a decadent slice moist chocolate cake.
