The Bay offers a breadth of options for every palette.
The beautiful decor at The Bay is the first thing that caught our attention. This spacious multi-cuisine restaurant is beautifully curated and the attention to detail is immaculate. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. On our first visit there, the weather was fabulous so we chose a table overlooking the pool and loved the sound of the ocean with the waves crashing in the background.
Inside, there are multiple open kitchens spread out in one section of the restaurant and the lounge-like setting is both intimate and inviting.
This brasserie offers something for every palette and the dinner menu features a breadth of options-from Indian to Arabic and even Asian and Italian. The diverse dishes are all freshly prepared with the finest of ingredients.
We began with dumplings-steamed crystal pouches filled with delicate shrimp that we doused in soya sauce and quickly finished.
Our next starter was grilled octopus, served with artichoke, parsnip puree and shiso. The tender octopus paired exquisitely with the well-seasoned mash and rich artichoke.
In the mains, the Nasi Goreng came highly recommended. A fragrant rice dish it was topped with egg and came with a side of condiments. A hearty, sharing portion, this one was a real crowd pleaser.
The star of the night was the truffle tagliolini served in a Castelmagno cheese wheel. The decadent combination of the buttered pasta topped with delicate truffle shavings is sinfully good.
For dessert, the crème brulee has a refreshing twist and is served with an apple and pear compote, puff pastry and pear sorbet.
If you are in the mood for something more decadent then the dark chocolate pastry with marmalade, topped with mango and saffron sorbet is not to be missed.
The Bay is a charming brasserie offering gourmet dishes in a vibrant setting.
